Steve J. Weiss
Steve J. Weiss is an attorney in Bloomfield Hills Michigan, and co-author of the soon to be released literary novel, About Face.  His previously published work includes The Farewell Principle, a legal fiction novel. He has also recently completed The Silver Wolf,  a  young adult fiction book.

About Face, expected to be released in March 2003,  is an introspective tale of love, hate and the uncommon, spirited relationship that envelops the turbulent lives of brothers, Damion and Travis Face, two teenagers living in a small Kentucky town.

Following  the death of their mother when they were young boys, the Face brothers become the victims of their vanquished, widowed father's uncompromising abuse, surviving exclusively on the strength drawn from each others' love and support.  However, it is the heart-rending struggles they endure when trying to turn their turmoil into virtue that form the foundation of the novel.

One of the book's most compelling features is its narrative format.  Comprised of alternating first-person

chapters, the story is given its colorful life through the contrasting voices of  Travis and  Damion Face.  Travis, who gained more from his mother's love and influence, serves as a guidepost for his unrefined, yet good-hearted younger brother.

A tight (61,000 words) and cogent read, About Face combines emotion, humor and compelling characters to form a memorable, fast-paced novel.
